Meet the QMWheel battery. This high-quality 36-volt battery with a capacity of 13 amperes is known for its impressive capacity and strong performance on every ride. With the powerful 15-amp battery you can effortlessly climb hills and cover longer distances, all while enjoying a smooth, efficient ride.
The battery can be charged in two ways:
In the bike: You can leave the battery in the bike and charge it this way. If you then look at the display, you can check the battery percentage.
Separately from the bike: You can take the battery indoors and charge it inside, which is how it lasts the longest. Avoid charging in cold or extremely hot rooms. If you press the small button on top of the battery, you can see how full it is.
We recommend not leaving the charger on the saddle while charging, as it can get warm.

Good to know
Replacing your battery is usually done in no time: unlock the old battery with the key, slide it out of the frame, and put the new battery back in until it clicks into place. Don't forget to turn the lock closed again so the battery stays securely in place while riding. Fully charge it before first use.

Can I have my fatbike tuned by you?
Our fatbikes are tunable, and we also supply individual parts to upgrade your fatbike. Please note: tuning is only permitted on private property, not on public roads.
Is a fatbike still legal?
Yes, a fatbike that complies with current regulations (max. 25 km/h pedal assist and a 250W motor) is fully legal on public roads. Tuned models may only be used on private property.
What are the new fatbike rules for 2026?
As of 2026, stricter rules apply around age, helmet requirements, and vehicle specifications. Check our information page for the latest details.
Do you need a driver’s license for a fatbike?
You don’t need a driver’s license for a regular fatbike with pedal assist up to 25 km/h. You do for tuned models above that limit. Keep in mind those are only allowed on private property.

Do you need a helmet on a fatbike?

Can I tune an Ouxi C80 Mini or QMWheel V20 Mini?
No. The Ouxi C80 Mini, C63 Mini and the QMWheel V20 Mini cannot be tuned. There is no tunable controller or tunable display for these models; they stay restricted to 25 km/h. Do you want to tune after all? Then have a look at the Ouxi C80, V8 or GT2000 and the QMWheel V20 or V20 Pro.
