Step by step How do I check my motor plug colour?
How to check which motor plug colour your fatbike has
All you need is a pair of wire cutters and it takes a minute. The colour is on the inside of the motor plug, so you'll need to pull it apart. That's fine: it won't damage the plug.

Go to the rear wheel
Put your fatbike on its stand. The motor is in the rear wheel, and one thick cable comes out of it: the motor cable.

Follow the motor cable to the plug
The motor cable runs along the frame to the first plug. It's usually held in place with two cable ties. Cut the first one.

Cut the second cable tie too
Now the plug hangs free and you can get a good grip on it.

Hold the plug on both sides
Hold it by the thick plug housings, not by the thin wires.

Pull the plug firmly apart
It's a tight fit, so don't be afraid to pull hard. The plug won't break.

Look at the inside
Where the pins stick out you'll see the colour: red or black. That's your motor plug colour.
Done? Push the plug firmly back together (the pins only fit one way) and, if you like, put a new cable tie around it.

Is the controller of your V20 or V20 Pro broken and do you simply want to ride 25 km/h again as the factory intended? Then this is the limited replacement with red motor plug. It works with every H6C display of the V20 series, including the limited NFC version, and changes nothing about the speed.
If you want to tune later after all, choose the tunable 21A version; this limited controller is not suitable for that. Do check the plug colour: a V20 with black motor plug needs the 15A version. You replace it yourself by removing the saddle and moving five plugs over.
Good to know
The controller is the brain of your fatbike and drives the motor. Before you start, take a photo of how all the connectors are attached, so you can reconnect the new controller in exactly the same way.
