How to check which motor plug colour your fatbike has
All you need is a pair of wire cutters and it takes a minute. The colour is on the inside of the motor plug, so you'll need to pull it apart. That's fine: it won't damage the plug.

Go to the rear wheel
Put your fatbike on its stand. The motor is in the rear wheel, and one thick cable comes out of it: the motor cable.

Follow the motor cable to the plug
The motor cable runs along the frame to the first plug. It's usually held in place with two cable ties. Cut the first one.

Cut the second cable tie too
Now the plug hangs free and you can get a good grip on it.

Hold the plug on both sides
Hold it by the thick plug housings, not by the thin wires.

Pull the plug firmly apart
It's a tight fit, so don't be afraid to pull hard. The plug won't break.

Look at the inside
Where the pins stick out you'll see the colour: red or black. That's your motor plug colour.
Done? Push the plug firmly back together (the pins only fit one way) and, if you like, put a new cable tie around it.

The 24 inch V8 Pro has a different wheel size and therefore its own controller setting, so do not use the controller of the 20 inch V8 Pro. This limited unit with a red motor plug replaces the original and keeps the bike at 25 km/h.
Check the colour of your motor plug before ordering: only red fits this model. Tuning is not possible with this controller. Replacing it needs no mechanic: loosen the saddle, take out the old controller, click the five plugs onto the new one and put everything back.
Good to know
The controller is the brain of your fatbike and manages how the motor is driven. Before replacing it, first take a photo of the existing connections, then disconnect the old controller and connect the new one in exactly the same way.
