Good to know
You install a thumb throttle by unscrewing the old lever and removing it from the handlebar. Slide the new thumb throttle onto the handlebar, secure it in a comfortable position, and plug the connector back into the same connection on your controller. Check that the connector clicks firmly into place before you ride. Can't manage it yourself or in doubt? Message us on WhatsApp at +31 6 82090642, and we'll help you out quickly.
Pro tip: position the lever so you can operate it easily with your thumb without reaching. After installation, calmly test whether it presses in smoothly and springs back neatly.

Can I have my fatbike tuned by you?

Is a fatbike still legal?
Yes, a fatbike that complies with current regulations (max. 25 km/h pedal assist and a 250W motor) is fully legal on public roads. Tuned models may only be used on private property.
What are the new fatbike rules for 2026?
As of 2026, stricter rules apply around age, helmet requirements, and vehicle specifications. Check our information page for the latest details.
Do you need a driver’s license for a fatbike?
You don’t need a driver’s license for a regular fatbike with pedal assist up to 25 km/h. You do for tuned models above that limit. Keep in mind those are only allowed on private property.
Why buy a fatbike?
A fatbike is comfortable, fast, and ready for any terrain, from city streets to the beach. Ideal for commuting and for fun. And with our tunable models, you get even more out of it.
Do you need a helmet on a fatbike?
A helmet is strongly recommended for your own safety. From 2026, a helmet requirement will be introduced for certain fatbike categories.
What does tuning a fatbike cost?
A tunable controller costs from 98 euro for the V20 family and the Ouxi models, and 179 euro for the GT2000 and GT2000 2.0. Fitting it yourself usually takes less than half an hour. Not sure which part fits your fatbike?
