Good to know
The chain guard protects your chain from dirt and your trousers from chain grease. When installing it, loosen the mounting points, fit the new guard and tighten everything back up neatly. Afterward, check that the chain doesn't rub against the guard anywhere.
Pro tip: after installation, spin the pedals a few times to check that everything runs freely and no noise develops. Can't manage it yourself or in doubt? Feel free to message us on WhatsApp at +31 6 82090642, and we'll be happy to help you out quickly.

Why choose fatbikeklaar.nl?
We specialize in tunable fatbikes and parts. Over 500 happy customers have gone before you. Fast delivery, sharp prices, and customer service that truly thinks along with you.
Can I have my fatbike tuned by you?
Our fatbikes are tunable, and we also supply individual parts to upgrade your fatbike. Please note: tuning is only permitted on private property, not on public roads.
Is a fatbike still legal?
Yes, a fatbike that complies with current regulations (max. 25 km/h pedal assist and a 250W motor) is fully legal on public roads. Tuned models may only be used on private property.
What are the new fatbike rules for 2026?
As of 2026, stricter rules apply around age, helmet requirements, and vehicle specifications. Check our information page for the latest details.
Do you need a driver’s license for a fatbike?
You don’t need a driver’s license for a regular fatbike with pedal assist up to 25 km/h. You do for tuned models above that limit. Keep in mind those are only allowed on private property.
Why buy a fatbike?
A fatbike is comfortable, fast, and ready for any terrain, from city streets to the beach. Ideal for commuting and for fun. And with our tunable models, you get even more out of it.
Do you need a helmet on a fatbike?
A helmet is strongly recommended for your own safety. From 2026, a helmet requirement will be introduced for certain fatbike categories.
What does tuning a fatbike cost?
A tunable controller costs from 98 euro for the V20 family and the Ouxi models, and 179 euro for the GT2000 and GT2000 2.0. Fitting it yourself usually takes less than half an hour. Not sure which part fits your fatbike?
