The motor is a crucial component of your Fatbike. Over time, motor wear and damage can occur due to intensive use and the challenges of off-road riding. Therefore, timely replacement of your worn or damaged motor is essential to maintain the performance of your Fatbike.
Original Ouxi small 250Watt motor with red plug on the right side.
Suitable for: V8, H9, and C80, and other Ouxi models with the motor plug on the right side with a red motor plug.
(Please note! This motor does not fit Fatbikes with a large motor)
(Please check carefully if the motor matches yours to avoid disappointment; read the description thoroughly!)
Good to know
The motor is located in your rear wheel. Replacing it is a big job: you take the wheel out of the frame, remove the tire and rim, and rebuild everything onto the new motor. Work calmly, lay out the parts in order, and take photos of the cables and the plug before you disconnect anything. Can't manage it yourself or in doubt? Feel free to message us on WhatsApp at +31 6 82090642, and we'll help you out quickly.
Pro tip: have this job done by someone experienced with fatbikes if you're not sure, so you avoid damaging the wiring.

Please note
This 250-watt motor with a red plug (small motor) is intended for the Ouxi V8, C80, C90, H9, C80 Pro, and Q8. Before you order, check that the wattage, the red plug, and the model match your own motor, so you can be sure it fits. In doubt? Can I have my fatbike tuned by you?
Our fatbikes are tunable, and we also supply individual parts to upgrade your fatbike. Please note: tuning is only permitted on private property, not on public roads.
Is a fatbike still legal?
Yes, a fatbike that complies with current regulations (max. 25 km/h pedal assist and a 250W motor) is fully legal on public roads. Tuned models may only be used on private property.
What are the new fatbike rules for 2026?
As of 2026, stricter rules apply around age, helmet requirements, and vehicle specifications. Check our information page for the latest details.
Do you need a driver’s license for a fatbike?
You don’t need a driver’s license for a regular fatbike with pedal assist up to 25 km/h. You do for tuned models above that limit. Keep in mind those are only allowed on private property.
Why buy a fatbike?
A fatbike is comfortable, fast, and ready for any terrain, from city streets to the beach. Ideal for commuting and for fun. And with our tunable models, you get even more out of it.
Do you need a helmet on a fatbike?
A helmet is strongly recommended for your own safety. From 2026, a helmet requirement will be introduced for certain fatbike categories.
What does tuning a fatbike cost?
A tunable controller costs from 98 euro for the V20 family and the Ouxi models, and 179 euro for the GT2000 and GT2000 2.0. Fitting it yourself usually takes less than half an hour. Not sure which part fits your fatbike?
