This battery is made for the Ouxi GT16, the fatbike on 16 inch wheels with a motocross look. It has 48 volts and 20 amp-hours. Convert that and you get 960 Wh. With that capacity, the GT16 rides up to 80 km on a single charge.

Which bike is this battery for?

The battery belongs to the Ouxi GT16. That is a fatbike for 1 person, with a 250 W motor, front and rear suspension and hydraulic disc brakes front and rear. The GT16 has an oversized motorbike-style saddle, a raised handlebar and a frame size of 72 cm. Do you ride another Ouxi model? Then look for the battery for your bike among the batteries. What the battery does

Capacity and range

• Voltage: 48 V, like the original battery of the GT16.
• Capacity: 20 Ah lithium-ion.

• Removable: charge it on the bike or off the bike.

Up to 80 km is an upper limit. Riding style, speed, tyre pressure, temperature, assist level and terrain determine what you actually achieve.

Charging on or off the bike

Leave the battery in the frame and connect the charger to the bike. Or take it out and charge it indoors, away from cold and heat. The latter is better for its lifespan. The colour display of the GT16 shows how full the battery is. Do not put the charger on the saddle while charging, because it gets warm. The battery comes with two keys.

What a new battery does not change

An extra battery gives you more kilometres, not a higher speed. On public roads, pedal assist stops at 25 km/h. Riding faster is only allowed on private or enclosed land. The 16 inch wheels and the riding position of course stay the same too.

Swapping the battery

Turn the lock open with the key and slide the old battery out of the frame. Fit the new battery until it clicks into place and turn the lock closed again. That way it cannot come loose while riding. Charge it fully before the first ride.
