A separate battery for the QMWheel S20 Pro. This 48-volt battery has a capacity of 18Ah, 864Wh in total. With it, the S20 Pro rides about 60 km on average and up to 75 km on low assist, depending on assist level, weight and terrain.

The battery can be charged in two ways:

In the bike: leave the battery in the frame and connect the charger to the bike. The display shows how full the battery is.

Separate from the bike: unlock the battery with the key and take it inside to charge. This helps the battery last as long as possible. Do not charge in a cold or very hot room.

Do not leave the charger on the saddle while charging, as it can get warm.

Comes with two matching keys.

Good to know

You can easily swap the S20 Pro battery yourself: unlock the old battery with the key, slide it out of the frame and put the new one in until it clicks firmly into place. Then turn the lock closed again. Fully charge the battery before first use; an empty battery is full again in about 6 hours.

S20 Pro battery 48V 18Ah: 864 Wh for your QMWheel S20 Pro

This separate battery is made for the QMWheel S20 Pro. It runs on 48 volts and has a capacity of 18 Ah, 864 Wh in total. You use it to replace a worn battery or as a spare battery for long days.

You order the battery from FatbikeKlaar.nl; the same part can also be ordered through FatbikeKlaar.be for Belgium and through FatbikeKlaar.com in English.

Which bike is this battery for?

The battery is intended for the QMWheel S20 Pro, the fatbike with a 250W motor and 20-inch wheels. That bike comes with a 48V / 18Ah / 864Wh battery as standard. This battery therefore has the same voltage and the same capacity. Other QMWheel models often use a battery with a different capacity or a different lock. So always check the model of your bike before you order.

What the battery does

Capacity and range

  • Voltage: 48 volts, matching the electrical system of the S20 Pro.
  • Capacity: 18 Ah.
  • Energy: 864 Wh.
  • Range: about 60 km on average and up to 75 km on low assist.
  • Charging time: about 6 hours from empty to full.

How far you really get depends on the assist level, your total weight, wind, temperature and tyre pressure. With a second person on the back, the distance gets shorter.

Speed and the law

A new battery gives you your range back, not extra speed. In the Restricted version, the motor assist of the S20 Pro stops at 25 km/h, also with this battery. Riding tuned is only allowed on private or enclosed property; on public roads, pedal assist is restricted to a maximum of 25 km/h.

Removable and charging

You slide the battery into the frame and secure it with the lock. You can charge it in two ways:

  • In the bike: leave the battery in place and connect the charger to the charging port. The display shows how full the battery is.
  • Separate from the bike: unlock the battery with the key and take it inside. Charging at room temperature is good for its lifespan.

Do not leave the charger on the saddle while charging, because it gets warm. An extra charger for home or work is available among the chargers. Check beforehand that the plug fits your battery.

Fitting: swapping the battery

To swap the battery, all you need is the key. This is how it works:

  • Unlock: turn the lock open with the key.
  • Remove: slide the old battery out of the frame.
  • Insert: slide the new battery in until it clicks into place.
  • Lock: turn the lock closed again and take out the key.

The battery comes with two keys. Charge it fully before first use.

Maintenance and lifespan

A battery lasts longer if you take good care of it:

  • Do not leave the battery completely empty for a long time.
  • Store it indoors at room temperature in winter.
  • Do not charge in a cold shed or in full sun.
  • Keep the contacts dry and clean.

Not using the bike for a few weeks? Then top up the battery now and then, so it does not become deeply discharged.

Frequently asked questions about the S20 Pro battery

Does this battery also fit other QMWheel bikes?

It is intended for the S20 Pro. Other models often have a different capacity, connector or lock position. If in doubt, send us a photo of your current battery via WhatsApp.

How long does charging take?

An empty battery is full again after about 6 hours. Preferably charge indoors, at room temperature.

Will a new battery take me further again?

A battery loses capacity over time. A new battery delivers the full 864 Wh again. With it, you get up to 75 km on low assist again.

Will a new battery make me faster?

No. The battery determines the range, not the top speed. On public roads, pedal assist stays restricted to 25 km/h.
