A separate battery for the QMWheel V29 Pro. The V29 Pro runs on two of these batteries; this product is one battery. Each battery runs on 48 volts and has a capacity of 15Ah, 720Wh in total. With two full batteries (1440Wh), the V29 Pro rides up to 160 km, about 80 km per battery.

The battery can be charged in two ways:

In the bike: leave the battery in the frame and connect the charger to the bike. The display shows how full the battery is.

Separate from the bike: unlock the battery with the key and take it inside to charge. This helps the battery last as long as possible. Do not charge in a cold or very hot room.

Do not leave the charger on the saddle while charging, as it can get warm.

Comes with two matching keys.

Good to know

The V29 Pro has two batteries that you swap one at a time: unlock the battery with the key, slide it out of the bike and put the new one in until it clicks firmly into place. Then turn the lock closed again. Fully charge a new battery before first use.

V29 Pro battery 48V 15Ah: one of the two batteries of your QMWheel V29 Pro

The QMWheel V29 Pro runs on two removable batteries. This product is one of those batteries: 48 volts, 15 Ah and 720 Wh. You use it to replace a worn battery, or you keep it as a spare.

You order the battery from FatbikeKlaar.nl; the same part can also be ordered through FatbikeKlaar.be for Belgium and through FatbikeKlaar.com in English.

Which bike is this battery for?

The battery is intended for the QMWheel V29 Pro Dual Battery. That fatbike has a 250W motor, 20-inch wheels and room for two batteries of 48V / 15Ah each. Together that is 1440 Wh. This listing is for one battery. Want to replace both batteries? Then order two. Do you have a different QMWheel model? First check which battery belongs to it.

What the battery does

Capacity and range

  • Voltage: 48 volts.
  • Capacity: 15 Ah per battery.
  • Energy: 720 Wh per battery, 1440 Wh with two batteries.
  • Range: about 80 km per battery, up to 160 km with two full batteries.
  • Removable: yes, you take both batteries out of the bike separately.

The actual distance depends on your assist level, speed, terrain, temperature and whether you take someone along. With a passenger on the back, the battery runs down faster.

Speed and the law

More battery capacity means riding further, not faster. The restricted V29 Pro keeps assisting up to 25 km/h, also with two new batteries. Riding tuned is only allowed on private or enclosed property; on public roads, pedal assist is restricted to a maximum of 25 km/h.

Removable and charging

Because the V29 Pro has two batteries, you charge them separately:

  • In the bike: leave the battery in the frame and connect the charger. The display shows the battery level.
  • Indoors: take the battery out with the key and charge it at home. That way you can charge one battery while riding on the other.

Plan charging in the evening, and the battery is ready the next morning. Do not put the charger on the saddle, because it gets warm. An extra charger for a second charging spot is available among the chargers. Check beforehand that the plug fits.

Fitting: swapping the battery

You swap a battery without tools:

  • Unlock: open the battery lock with the key.
  • Remove: slide the battery out of its holder.
  • Insert: slide the new battery in until it clicks into place.
  • Lock: close the lock and take out the key.

The battery comes with two keys. Charge a new battery fully before its first ride.

Maintenance and lifespan

With two batteries, it is tempting to leave one lying around for a long time. Do not leave it empty:

  • Use both batteries regularly, so they age evenly.
  • Store a battery you are not using for a while half charged.
  • Keep batteries indoors at room temperature in winter.
  • Do not charge in full sun or in freezing temperatures.

Also check now and then that the contacts are clean and dry.
